Job Requirements
- Maintain a current valid state-issued driver’s license issued by the state of residence
- Acquire and retain any state-required license certifications
- Less than two moving violations within the last three years
- No careless, reckless or failure to control violations in the last five years
- No driving under the influence convictions in the past seven years
- No drug or alcohol-related convictions within the previous four years
- No auto theft convictions in the last seven years
- Clearance from eRailsafe or company-mandated background check
- Ability to use electronic devices and programs for communication and reporting
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to enter, exit, and safely operate vehicle with seatbelt usage
- Must meet physical requirements under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act if required
- Ability to hear, read and respond to instructions over phone, navigation system, or radio
- Submit to and pass a negative drug and/or alcohol test
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional attitude
- Ability to meet deadlines and navigate complex traffic situations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21
- Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to use electronic devices and software for communication and reporting
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to navigate safely in high traffic areas
- Experience in driving or transportation preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Transport railroad crews safely to various locations using mini-vans
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off in accordance with schedule and crew needs
- Use electronic devices to communicate, onboard crew members, and submit shift and trip reports
- Conduct vehicle inspections including bending, stopping, and stretching to ensure safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe driving record in compliance with company and legal standards
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Navigate high-traffic areas efficiently while adhering to safety rules and deadlines
