Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in operations management within health and wellness or related field required
- Minimum of five years of experience in business operations, revenue growth and development, community engagement, relationship building, program or business line development required
- Minimum of five years of experience in staff selection, supervision, retention, development required
- Ability to establish training and career succession plans required
- Supervision of large YMCA Family Center operations exceeding $3M in operating revenue preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in fiscal management, achieving EBITDA/Net targets, driving organizational performance required
- Experience supporting fundraising and philanthropic efforts required
- Experience working closely with nonprofit Boards and volunteer leadership required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse individuals, teams, and cultures required
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen Administration within 60 days of employment
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work on-call schedule rotation
- Willingness to travel within Central Florida
- Must have valid driver license
- Must possess required physical capacity and sensory abilities for job
- Successful background screening including criminal and drug screening required
Job Qualifications

- Degree in business, management, nonprofit leadership, or related field preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in operations management within health and wellness or related
- YMCA experience highly preferred
- Minimum five years in business operations, revenue growth and development, community engagement
- Minimum five years in staff selection, supervision, retention, development
- Experience with training and career succession planning
- Supervision experience of large YMCA Family Center operations exceeding $3M in revenue preferred

Job Duties
- Achieves assigned Family Center goals and objectives in alignment with the Association’s strategic plan including financial sustainability and revenue growth
- Partners with Association membership leadership to ensure consistent execution of membership strategies and initiatives
- Drives member engagement and retention through strong activity usage and program quality
- Builds and sustains a strong leadership bench by recruiting and developing senior leadership and programmatic talent
- Ensures leadership development and talent pipeline strength with focus on diversity and inclusion
- Leads philanthropic results within assigned Family Centers and supports capital campaigns
- Provides leadership and accountability to Family Center staff and Association subject matter experts
- Operates effectively within the Association’s matrix model collaborating with centralized teams
- Develops and evaluates high-quality programs that respond to member and community needs
- Collaborates with resource development teams on fundraising strategies and donor engagement
- Cultivates community relationships and partnerships advancing the YMCA mission
- Identifies and applies best practices in systems and operations to improve Family Center management
- Maximizes facility and equipment utilization by innovating space and expanding program capacity
- Ensures implementation of all Association standards including safety and risk management
- Promotes a culture of safety and risk awareness to safeguard employees and members
- Supports Association-wide program quality and shares best practices
- Represents and advances the YMCA mission within the Family Centers and community
- Serves as a member of the Association Management Team contributing to strategic initiatives
- Leads special projects and Association initiatives as assigned
- Performs other related duties to support operational excellence
