Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior hospitality management roles
  • Proven track record of managing hotel operations, food and beverage, and guest services
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Financial management experience including budget preparation and monitoring
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards including OSHA
  • Effective communication skills
  • Capability to oversee projects involving architects, designers, and subcontractors
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field
  • Extensive experience in hospitality management with proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments and large teams
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality operations including hotel, food and beverage, and guest services
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution

Job Duties

  • Directing the overall operations and staff of facilities, food and beverage, and hotel operations departments
  • Developing, implementing and managing operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • Ensuring effective and efficient scheduling while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives
  • Preparing, monitoring and adhering to budgets and reporting budget concerns or deviations to executive management
  • Promoting and demonstrating superior customer service and ensuring standards are followed by all team members
  • Making final decisions about hotel policies, services, and resolving occupant complaints
  • Overseeing all master and direct bill accounts to ensure correct billing
  • Coordinating daily and weekly department meetings
  • Acting as a liaison between architects, designers, subcontractors, building officials and executive management on internal engineering projects
  • Inspecting completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and quality standards
  • Developing plans to meet and serve expanding facility needs
  • Ensuring OSHA standards are followed
  • Working closely with marketing to drive occupancy and maximize revenue
  • Making final financial decisions including setting room rates, menu pricing, and facilities policies and procedures
  • Scheduling repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment
  • Working with outside vendors on cost-effective solutions for repairs, upgrades and projects
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs
  • Participating with the executive management team in developing strategic and tactical operating plans
  • Maximizing daily revenue and effectively managing costs and labor
  • Leading management and supervisory teams for optimum operating efficiencies
  • Presenting updates and providing explanations and solutions to variances
  • Ensuring product receiving, holding and issuance are within quality and control standards
  • Assisting in designing food and beverage menus and hotel information
  • Implementing and auditing inventory and cost control systems and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting issues
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
