Job Requirements

  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field
  • Direct and extensive experience in the spa and wellness disciplines for luxury hotel brands
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in wellness hospitality, with a significant portion in multi-property or multi-brand operations
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with global or enterprise-wide accountability
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing comprehensive, holistic wellness programs
  • Proven track record of creating and executing innovative spa and wellness concepts that drive both guest satisfaction and commercial success
  • Experience managing large, complex projects from ideation to implementation
  • A strong background in leading a global team, with experience managing diverse, cross-cultural teams across multiple geographies

Job Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience leading large-scale organizational transformations and change management initiatives (preferred)
  • Exposure to/participation in brand and “go to market” strategy development within the luxury environment (preferred)
  • An extensive network of relationships with leading wellness brands, industry experts, and third-party vendors (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance creativity, guest experience, and financial performance (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Defines and implements brand specific global spa and wellness visions that differentiate each of the brands in the luxury portfolio and positions the brands as innovators in holistic wellbeing
  • Owns the long-range strategic plan for the wellness and spa portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and brand standards
  • Champions a culture of continuous innovation by researching and translating global trends into actionable strategies
  • Identifies, vets, and pursues new business opportunities and strategic partnerships that drive revenue and enhance brand positioning
  • Serves as the executive brand ambassador, articulating the value proposition of wellness and spa to all stakeholders
  • Partners with senior leadership to embed wellness into the broader luxury guest journey, from design and development through operations and brand marketing
  • Sets the global vision for comprehensive, guest-centric wellness offerings, including personalized and culturally relevant wellness journeys
  • Directs the design, development, and roll-out of new wellness and spa programs, ensuring scalability, profitability, and flawless execution
  • Curates and evolves signature spa concepts, rituals, and brand-defining wellness experiences
  • Defines global standards and specifications for all wellness, fitness and spa facilities and services
  • Oversees the overall direction for the spa retail portfolio by brand, guiding product selection and merchandising
  • Supports spa and wellness operations across the global portfolio, ensuring consistency, profitability, and service excellence
  • Establishes operating standards, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and brand equity
  • Analyzes performance data, financial statements, and key metrics to measure the success of initiatives and the global spa business
  • Utilizes financial acumen and leverages data and guest insights to inform strategic decisions and present financial performance to executive leadership
  • Collaborates with Brand, Development, Design, and Finance teams to ensure spa and wellness components enhance both ROI and brand differentiation
  • Drives spa and wellness revenue through programming, retail, membership, partnerships, and new business models
  • Builds, inspires, and mentors a global team of discipline experts in the field acting as a resource
  • Fosters a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and excellence
  • Recruits, develops, and implements a robust succession strategy for key leadership roles across both above and at property level
  • Champions learning and development initiatives that position colleagues as world-class wellness practitioners
  • Acts as a Discipline Expert and central liaison and trusted advisor between Global Operations, Continent leadership, Brands, and other enterprise stakeholders
  • Regularly presents to and influences executive leadership on the strategic direction and performance of the portfolio
  • Partners with Brand and Marketing teams to define the go-to-market strategy and direct global public relations efforts for the wellness portfolio
