Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pilot's license
  • Ten years director experience
  • Must pass 10-year background check including FAA fingerprint-based criminal history records check
  • Ability to stand and walk 5 percent of the time
  • Ability to sit 90 percent of the time
  • Ability to travel 30 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift overhead up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to handle numerous activities simultaneously and complete in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems timely

Job Qualifications

  • Pilot's license
  • Ten years previous director experience
  • Must pass a 10-year background check including FAA fingerprint-based criminal history records check
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • ATP certification

Job Duties

  • Maintain all contracts relevant to flight operations
  • Manage and supervise flight operations engineering including aircraft performance data
  • Oversee infrastructure issues such as routes, airports, FMS data customization, and NOTAMS
  • Formulate operational policies
  • Ensure prompt reporting, filing, and follow-up of occurrences to government agencies
  • Liaise directly with the FAA on operational matters including qualifications of airmen and regulatory compliance
  • Manage training records for all crewmembers and dispatchers
  • Prepare reports and correspondence related to operations and flight crews
  • Maintain flight and duty records
  • Ensure flight operations have necessary facilities, equipment, and services to meet safety and security requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company manuals, Operations Specifications, and FAA regulations
  • Liaise with domestic and international regulatory authorities, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors
  • Assume duties of subordinates in their temporary absence when qualified
