Job Requirements
- Hold commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
- Possess first class medical certificate
- Accumulate required flight hours including total, helicopter, PIC, turbine, and night operation hours
- Meet 235 pounds body weight requirement
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity and strength tests
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Reside within a 1-hour commute of the Phoenix Sky Harbor base
- Be willing to work 7 days on and 7 days off rotating schedule
- Interview and acceptance by PHI management
Job Qualifications
- Commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
- First class medical certificate
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- At least 1,500 hours in helicopter flight time
- Minimum 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of helicopters
- 500 hours in turbine helicopters
- 100 hours in unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided and 100 hours with night vision goggles
- Ability to meet 235 pounds body weight limit
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass pre-placement physical including strength and flexibility assessment, drug screening, and background check
Job Duties
- Operate AS350 helicopters under VFR and NVG conditions with an instrument rating
- Participate in 24-hour operations with day and night rotations
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with company General Operating Manual
- Assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment requiring some lifting
- Support and adhere to Safety Management System and company safety campaigns such as Destination Zero
- Engage with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service
- Participate in community outreach programs and comply with PHI Air Medical policies
