Job Requirements

  • Meet CAMTS criteria
  • Hold commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
  • Possess a first class medical certificate
  • At least 2,000 total flight hours
  • Minimum 1,500 hours in helicopters
  • Minimum 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command
  • Minimum 500 hours in turbine helicopters
  • Night flight experience as required
  • Body weight under 235 pounds
  • Able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity test
  • Able to lift 100 pounds to assist with patients and equipment
  • Pass drug screening and background check
  • Live within one hour commute of the Jackson base

Job Qualifications

  • Commercial helicopter rating
  • Instrument helicopter rating
  • First class medical certificate
  • Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
  • Minimum 1,500 helicopter flight hours
  • Minimum 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of helicopters
  • Minimum 500 hours in turbine helicopters
  • 100 hours in unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours with night vision goggles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated internal and external customer service abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Fly BH407 helicopters under VFR and NVG conditions
  • Operate in 24-hour day and night rotation schedules
  • Participate in community outreach programs
  • Assist in loading and unloading patients and medical equipment
  • Perform line pilot duties according to the General Operations Manual
  • Support Safety Management System and company safety campaigns
  • Provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service to internal and external customers
