Job Requirements

  • Hold commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
  • Possess first class medical certification
  • Have minimum of 2,000 total flight hours including at least 1,500 hours helicopter and 1,000 hours PIC
  • Experience with turbine helicopters totaling 500 hours
  • Night operation experience per CAMTS guidelines including NVG proficiency
  • Meet the maximum allowable body weight of 235 pounds
  • Ability to pass pre-placement physical examination including functional capacity assessment
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background check
  • Reside within one hour commute of Deer Valley, AZ base
  • Immunization not requiring annual flu vaccine
  • Commitment to internal and external customer service excellence
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Job Qualifications

  • Commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
  • First Class Medical certificate
  • Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
  • At least 1,500 hours helicopter flight time
  • 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command (PIC) on helicopters
  • 500 hours turbine helicopter flight time
  • 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided and 100 hours NVG flight time
  • Meet 235 pounds body weight limit
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass interview and acceptance by customer and PHI management

Job Duties

  • Operate AS350 VFR/NVG helicopters adhering to instrument rating standards
  • Participate in 24-hour operations with day and night shift rotations
  • Perform line pilot duties according to General Operations Manual (GOM)
  • Assist with loading and unloading of patients and medical equipment
  • Support and promote company safety initiatives including Safety Management System and Destination Zero
  • Engage in community outreach programs and adhere to PHI Air Medical policies
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, and courteous service
