Job Requirements
- must meet 235 pounds body weight limit
- must reside within 1 hour commute of the base
- annual flu vaccine not required
- must pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity test
- must pass drug and background screening
- ability to lift 100 pounds to assist with patients and equipment
- willing to work 7 and 7 day schedule with possible changes
- must have commercial and instrument helicopter licenses
Job Qualifications
- commercial and instrument helicopter ratings
- first-class medical certificate
- 2,000 total flight hours
- 1,500 hours helicopter flight time
- 1,000 hours pilot-in-command helicopter experience
- 500 hours turbine helicopter flight time
- 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours night vision goggle experience
- strong communication skills
- demonstrated customer service skills
- ability to pass interview and acceptance by PHI management
Job Duties
- operate AS350 helicopters under CAMTS guidelines
- conduct 24-hour day and night rotation flight operations
- assist in loading and unloading patients and medical equipment
- participate in community outreach programs
- perform line pilot duties in accordance with company policies
- support safety management systems and company safety campaigns
- provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service to internal and external customers
