Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- accredited veterinary technician certification
- relevant experience preferred
- ability to handle physically demanding tasks
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to work four 10-hour weekday shifts and occasional on-call
- ability to perform medical math accurately
- commitment to compassionate patient care
- eligibility to work in the united states
Job Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician credential required
- experience in internal medicine or related specialty preferred
- proficiency in anesthesia induction and monitoring
- knowledge of ultrasound, radiology, and endoscopic procedure support
- strong client communication skills
- ability to perform medical calculations accurately
- ability to adhere to hospital protocols and maintain equipment
- commitment to continuing education and professional development
Job Duties
- Set up constant rate infusions (CRI)
- calculate all medical math
- induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
- set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures
- set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway)
- clean and maintain equipment following procedure
- discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations
- perform other additional job duties as assigned
