Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a veterinary hospital preferred
  • ability to work full-time 12-hour shifts
  • strong technical and manual skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • compassionate attitude toward animals
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • licensed or experienced veterinary technician preferred
  • knowledge of emergency care procedures
  • familiarity with preventative care protocols
  • proficiency in medication administration
  • ability to maintain accurate medical records
  • skilled in pharmacology calculations
  • surgical support experience
  • competence in diagnostic imaging techniques
  • certified in CPR

Job Duties

  • assist veterinarians with emergency and triage care
  • administer medications and dispensed drugs
  • obtain complete patient histories and maintain treatment records
  • perform pharmacology calculations
  • prepare for, monitor, and assist with surgeries
  • place venipuncture and intravenous catheters
  • conduct diagnostic imaging procedures
  • perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when needed
