Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • veterinary technician certification or license preferred but not required
  • experience working in a veterinary hospital preferred
  • ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • compassion for animal patients
  • capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to learn and grow professionally

  • Experience in emergency care and triage
  • knowledge of preventative care
  • ability to administer and dispense medications

Job Duties

  • Provide emergency care and triage to patients
  • administer medications and dispense pharmaceuticals accurately
  • obtain complete patient histories and maintain detailed treatment records
  • perform pharmacology calculations to ensure correct dosages
  • assist with surgical procedures including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
  • conduct venipuncture and place IV catheters
  • operate diagnostic imaging equipment
  • perform CPR when necessary
