Job Requirements
- part-time availability for three 8-hour workweeks
- experience in veterinary care or a related field
- basic knowledge of animal handling and medical procedures
- strong communication skills
- ability to document patient and client information accurately
- commitment to compassionate animal care
- willingness to participate in continuing education
Job Qualifications
- experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician
- knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
- ability to perform diagnostic and surgical support tasks
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred
Job Duties
- safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- competency in emergency and surgical care including IV catheter placement
- diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work
- professional and compassionate communication with clients and staff
- succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
