Job Requirements

  • part-time availability for three 8-hour workweeks
  • experience in veterinary care or a related field
  • basic knowledge of animal handling and medical procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to document patient and client information accurately
  • commitment to compassionate animal care
  • willingness to participate in continuing education

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician
  • knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
  • ability to perform diagnostic and surgical support tasks
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred

Job Duties

  • safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
  • competency in emergency and surgical care including IV catheter placement
  • diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work
  • professional and compassionate communication with clients and staff
  • succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
