Bees Ferry Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, AAHA accredited full-service animal hospital located just 20 minutes outside downtown Charleston, South Carolina, offering convenient access to multiple beautiful beaches. With a team of seven dedicated Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs), this facility provides comprehensive veterinary care exclusively for dogs and cats. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with veterinary software preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations
- Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts

Job Duties
- Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
- Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and previous medical history
- Assist clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices, dispense prescription items per veterinarian's instructions, and schedule future appointments
- Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates
- Manage financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following proper cash and credit card handling procedures, and completing opening and closing procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner
- Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, treatment recommendations, and hospital services
- Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and teammates
- Demonstrate empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect
