Dogwood Trails Animal Hospital is a newly established, state-of-the-art small animal hospital located in Bentonville, Arkansas. Opening its doors in October 2024, Dogwood Trails has quickly become a trusted name in veterinary care, offering a wide range of services to ensure the health and well-being of pets at all stages of their lives. The hospital is equipped with the latest technology, including ultrasound, digital full-body and dental radiographs, and in-house diagnostics. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and pet care
- Proficiency in using appointment scheduling and payment processing systems
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including Saturdays
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant is preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor
Job Duties
- Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details
- Answer client questions and triage client concerns
- Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments
- Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests
- Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups
- Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience
