Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or veterinary environment preferred
  • Ability to work Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Strong emotional resilience and compassion
  • Basic computer proficiency for appointment scheduling and record keeping
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in emotional situations
  • Commitment to providing excellent client care

  • Ability to provide emotional support and comfort
  • Experience working in a veterinary or medical customer-facing role preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and make friendly eye contact every time the hospital entry door opens
  • Offer friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor
  • Listen compassionately to clients
  • Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone
  • Assess each client’s needs and pet’s condition upon arrival
  • Determine whether an emergency is a "stat" or standard emergency
  • Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member
  • Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate information
  • Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies for pet remains
