Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a customer service or veterinary receptionist role preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable working around animals of all sizes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and multitasking
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in busy environments

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills including professional and polished phone etiquette
  • Reliable and flexible to resort schedule needs including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable handling working around dogs of all sizes and cats
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and accuracy
  • Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems
  • Ability to remain calm and empathetic in fast-paced or stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide a positive professional first impression
  • Escort clients and their pets into exam rooms and communicate effectively with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
  • Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records in the system
  • Collect and update patient information to ensure medical records are current
  • Answer and direct multiple phone lines promptly and courteously
  • Handle client inquiries regarding services, products, or general pet care information
  • Assist with prescription refills and relay information between clients and the veterinary team as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and exam rooms
  • Assist with pet supply purchases such as supplements, grooming items, over the counter treatments, or other items
  • Support the team with daily administrative or client services tasks as needed
