Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in veterinary or medical administrative roles
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work the specified schedule including every other Saturday
- Empathy and professionalism in client interactions
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or veterinary front desk role
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Comfort discussing sensitive topics like end-of-life care and financial matters with empathy
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor
Job Duties
- Be the first point of contact for clients and their pets
- Support clinical flow by escorting clients to exam rooms and assisting communication
- Manage client communications including appointment scheduling and prescription refills
- Operate with accuracy in processing payments, invoicing, and appointment scheduling
- Speak the language of veterinary care, explaining vaccines, procedures, and terminology
- Create a welcoming and clean environment for clients, occasionally assisting with pet-related clean-up
