Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 or more years of customer service experience
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Warm and approachable demeanor
  • Tech savvy with client communication platforms
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift animals up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to assist in medical emergencies
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures
  • Experience with practice management software preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds
  • Veterinary experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medications, procedures, Cornerstone (PIMS)

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations
  • Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments
  • Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being
  • Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products
  • Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
  • Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records
  • Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions
