Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year veterinary receptionist experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • comfort with animals and exposure to veterinary hospital conditions
  • strong organizational skills
  • proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software
  • ability to provide compassionate emotional support to clients
  • willingness to undergo background check

Job Duties

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • greet and welcome clients and patients
  • answer questions and triage client concerns
  • answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • check in and check out clients and process payments
  • offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
  • be comfortable with various medical outcomes
  • withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
