Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
- proficiency with multi-line phone systems
- ability to multi-task efficiently
- strong attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle stressful and emotional situations
- willingness to work part-time hours including some evenings and Saturdays

- computer literacy including keyboarding and email/internet communication
- working knowledge of veterinary terminology including pronunciation and spelling
- excellent spelling and grammar skills
- ability to handle varied and difficult conditions including emotional situations

- genuine liking for animals and passion for animal care
Job Duties
- Greet clients and pets with a smile and positive attitude
- answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system
- schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital guidelines
- note details of client conversations in medical records including date, time, and key points
- enter accurate charges and explain invoices to clients
- collect payments and process various payment methods including cash, credit cards, and checks
- verify client eligibility for charge accounts
- check and update client contact information and scan documents into medical records
- advise clients on preventative treatments and retail products
