Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of receptionist experience
- 1-2 years preferred veterinary experience
- ability to handle unpleasant odors and noises
- comfortable with exposure to animal bites, scratches, and potential contagious diseases
- capability to provide emotional support to clients
- strong organizational skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to work nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Experienced receptionist with 2-3 years of general experience
- 1-2 years of veterinary reception experience preferred
- compassionate and calm demeanor
- strong team player
- ability to multitask effectively
- strong communication skills
- highly organized
- proficient computer skills
- self-starter with a desire for continuous knowledge and skill advancement
- willing to work nights and weekend shifts
Job Duties
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- greet and welcome clients and patients
- answer questions and triage client concerns
- answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- check in and check out clients and process payments
- offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
- handle exposure to unpleasant odors and noises and potential animal bites, scratches, and contagious diseases
