Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of receptionist experience
  • 1-2 years preferred veterinary experience
  • ability to handle unpleasant odors and noises
  • comfortable with exposure to animal bites, scratches, and potential contagious diseases
  • capability to provide emotional support to clients
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experienced receptionist with 2-3 years of general experience
  • 1-2 years of veterinary reception experience preferred
  • compassionate and calm demeanor
  • strong team player
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • strong communication skills
  • highly organized
  • proficient computer skills
  • self-starter with a desire for continuous knowledge and skill advancement
  • willing to work nights and weekend shifts

Job Duties

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • greet and welcome clients and patients
  • answer questions and triage client concerns
  • answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • check in and check out clients and process payments
  • offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
  • handle exposure to unpleasant odors and noises and potential animal bites, scratches, and contagious diseases
