Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or veterinary setting preferred
  • Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts
  • Ability to use standard office/business equipment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to manage client transactions and financial procedures

Job Duties

  • Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
  • Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records
  • Assist clients by providing necessary instructions, information and invoices
  • Dispense prescription items per veterinarian’s instructions and schedule future appointments
  • Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates
  • Manage financial needs by maintaining accurate balances through client transactions and following cash and credit card handling procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication
  • Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care and treatment recommendations
  • Maintain a positive attitude in interactions with clients, pets and teammates
  • Demonstrate empathy toward clients and compassion and respect for pets
