Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly
Basic proficiency with computer systems and software
Compassionate approach to client interaction
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Legal authorization to work in the country

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in stressful situations
Experience in a customer-facing role preferred
Basic computer skills and familiarity with appointment scheduling systems
Ability to provide emotional support to clients
Team player with cooperative attitude
Willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary field

Job Duties

Greet and make friendly eye contact every time the hospital entry door opens to offer warm and professional acknowledgement
Offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor
Act as a compassionate listener
Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone so clients easily understand
Assess immediately upon arrival each client's rare need as well as the pet's general condition
Determine whether an emergency arrival is a "stat" versus "standard" emergency
Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member
Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for appointments
Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner
Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process
