Job Requirements

  • prior experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
  • excellent phone etiquette
  • strong multitasking abilities

  • proficiency with computers
  • ability to work part-time including some weekends

  • genuine interest in animals and their welfare

Job Duties

  • Maintain and uphold the core values and mission statement of the hospital
  • greet clients and pets with a positive attitude
  • answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line system
  • screen and route calls to appropriate staff
  • schedule appointments and surgeries according to guidelines
  • note details of client conversations in medical records
  • collect and process payments including cash, credit cards, and checks
  • verify client eligibility for charge accounts
  • check and update client contact information
  • fill prescription refill forms and provide administrative instructions
  • advise clients on pet care products and preventative treatments
