Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • at least 1 year's previous experience working in veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to maintain professional attitude during stressful situations
  • exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • team player with willingness to learn new techniques and treatments
  • able to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • at least 1 year's experience in a veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • compassionate and professional demeanor during emotional or stressful situations
  • exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • team player willing to learn and adapt
  • previous experience using a Practice Management System preferred

Job Duties

  • Assume primary responsibility for answering the practice phone and routing calls appropriately
  • maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling appointments and reviewing online bookings
  • greet all visitors, clients and patients by name and notify technical staff upon arrival
  • monitor wait times and make accommodations during peak times or emergencies
  • participate in training new staff members and disseminate knowledge
  • ensure the waiting area is clean, disinfected when necessary, and well-stocked
  • confirm all appointments by client’s preferred communication method and make necessary adjustments
  • provide backup support to technical staff for loading rooms and discharging patients when needed
