Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 year experience in veterinary practice or customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassion and professionalism in stressful situations
- Strong telephone and computer skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Team-oriented mindset willing to learn and adapt
- Availability to work part-time on-site at Pasadena, CA
- Must comply with local employment laws and policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year experience working in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate and professional attitude during emotional and stressful situations
- Exceptional telephone and computer skills
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and accept change
- Preferably previous experience using a Practice Management System
Job Duties
- Answer practice phone and route calls appropriately
- Maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling appointments from callers or visitors and reviewing online bookings
- Greet all visitors to the practice and notify technical staff when they arrive
- Monitor wait times and make accommodations during peak or emergency situations
- Participate in training new staff members and disseminating knowledge
- Ensure waiting area is cleaned and well-stocked
- Confirm all appointments by preferred communication method prior day and adjust as necessary
- Provide backup support to technical staff when needed for loading rooms or discharging patients
