Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • at least 1 year's previous experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • compassionate and professional attitude during emotional and stressful situations
  • exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • team player with willingness to learn and adapt
  • preferred previous experience with Practice Management System

  • preferred experience using a Practice Management System

Job Duties

  • Assume primary responsibility for answering the practice phone and routing calls appropriately
  • maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling appointments from callers or visitors and reviewing online bookings
  • greet all visitors to the practice and notify technical staff when they arrive
  • monitor wait times and accommodate during peak or emergency situations
  • participate in the training of new staff members and disseminate knowledge
  • ensure waiting area is consistently cleaned and well-stocked
  • confirm all appointments by client’s preferred communication method and make necessary adjustments
  • provide backup support to technical staff when needed
