Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year veterinary medicine experience required
  • Customer service experience required
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy
  • Experience assembling patient records and entering information accurately
  • Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Demonstrated empathy toward clients
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to outstanding client service
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and over 40 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work energetically for shifts sometimes exceeding 10 hours
  • Preferred knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
  • Preferred typing speed of 45 words per minute and ability to use a 10-key adding machine

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Answer and route calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
  • Schedule appointments and provide pre-visit instructions
  • Address client questions or concerns and escalate when needed
  • Review and explain invoices, take payments, and manage client records
  • Assist with check-in and discharge of patients
  • Communicate medical instructions from the team to clients
