Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- one year of experience in social services or related field preferred
- veteran of U.S. military or military-related family member preferred
- knowledge of empowerment and self-advocacy techniques
- experience working with homeless and/or veterans preferred
- experience in a residential environment with persons with histories of homelessness and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders
- experience facilitating support groups preferred
- strong oral and written communication skills
- professional manner and appearance
- ability to work independently and within a team
- ability to take direction
- ability to work effectively with diverse group of clients, staff, and community members
- computer proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet
- ability to use client tracking databases and electronic case records
- valid driver's license required
- must meet company insurance requirements and complete provided driver training course
- driver history report meeting company insurance requirements to drive company vehicle and complete provided driver training course upon hire

Job Duties
- Ensures harmonious atmosphere within program by maintaining communication with and being liaison between clinical staff and program staff and fostering therapeutic community environment among clients
- establishes rapport and maintains professional relationships and boundaries with clients
- coordinates individual and group services to help veterans achieve life and recovery goals
- prevents or de-escalates problematic behaviors among clients, submitting Incident Reports as necessary
- assists with compliance of VA, HUD, and other funder regulations and maintenance of program documentation
- participates in case conferences, consultations, and staffing
- facilitates and/or participates in monthly Town Hall meetings
- assists Case Managers in maintaining confidential client files ensuring adherence to organization standards
- maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- assists in quality management, data collection, and report preparation
- attends scheduled meetings and trainings
- maintains and submits accurate documentation such as timesheets and mileage logs
- addresses client issues timely to ensure non-interruption of services
- facilitates peer-to-peer groups and life skills classes
- assists with program rent/participant fee compliance
- identifies and utilizes community resources to meet client needs
- transports clients to appointments and accompanies for peer support
- coordinates therapeutic and social activities and outings
- performs other duties as assigned
