Job Requirements

  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in vessel operations port agency or maritime logistics preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a good driving record required
  • Availability to work 24 hours including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and time-sensitive operations effectively

Job Duties

  • Prepare and submit documentation required by US government agencies including US Customs Border Protection the US Department of Agriculture and the US Coast Guard
  • Enter and clear vessels through US Customs Border Protection
  • Prepare and distribute cargo documents related to vessel cargo operations
  • Coordinate and communicate vessel arrival and departure schedules with pilots tugs line handlers stevedores and terminals
  • Coordinate various vessel services requested by owners or captains with approval from the Agency Department Manager
  • Manage vessel operations during after-hours weekends and holidays as required
