Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive venue management experience
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience in budget management
  • Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in venue management capacity
  • Ability to market venues, programs and sales
  • Proven experience analyzing administrative and operational issues and implementing solutions
  • Experience in budget development and human resource management
  • Knowledge of food and beverage, custodial and facility management related to scheduling and operations
  • 5-10 years experience as a venue manager

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct and manage the administration and operations of assigned venues
  • Develop and implement venue goals, objectives, policies and procedures
  • Prepare, justify, monitor and represent the budget
  • Assist Director in long-range planning and development priorities
  • Organize year-round venue use, scheduling, and facility maintenance
  • Oversee hiring and training of employees
  • Develop and implement signage, sales and marketing strategies
  • Review and evaluate employee work and program quality
  • Ensure timely scheduling and execution of maintenance
  • Foster positive staff morale and productivity
  • Prepare or oversee rental agreements and invoicing
  • Communicate regularly with the Director about developments and meetings
