Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must maintain valid state driver’s license
  • capability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • ability to frequently climb ladders higher than 16 feet
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment
  • previous experience in rail or vehicle handling roles preferred

Job Qualifications

  • valid state driver’s license
  • ability to operate company equipment safely
  • experience working with railcars and vehicle handling preferred
  • knowledge of safety protocols related to rail operations
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • good physical stamina and ability to climb ladders
  • strong attention to detail and reliability

Job Duties

  • properly and safely unload and load vehicles off railcars
  • use adjustable loading ramp, set up and take down bridge plates at railcar junctions
  • remove securing devices for unloading vehicles
  • inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
  • assist in raising and lowering hinged railcar decks
  • inspect, install and remove bridge plates
  • remove and properly store vehicle securement devices
  • drive vehicles in accordance with company and customer instructions
  • drive vehicles to proper parking bay for railcar or truck shipment
