Job Requirements
- Class B CDL preferred
- Class C driver’s license required in Illinois
- Class D driver’s license with a 'For Hire' endorsement required in Indiana
- Class D Chauffeur’s license required in Louisiana
- Class D commercial license required in Mississippi
- adherence to all applicable CarMax policies and procedures
- able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- valid state-issued driver’s license
- clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years
- ability to meet DOT and FMCSA qualification requirements
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- 1+ year of delivery driving experience or 1 year CarMax experience
- good communication and teamwork skills
- proficiency in operating a manual transmission
Job Duties
- Operate a two-car hauler for customer vehicle deliveries
- load, transport, and off-load CarMax vehicles at various locations
- facilitate the completion of home delivery transactions
- interact with customers and team members to provide outstanding customer service
- perform brief and guided condition verification for vehicles being transported
- verify that all vehicles meet CarMax’s cosmetic standards before delivery
- comply with DOT/FMCSA requirements and conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
