Job Requirements
- National certification in vascular sonography required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems
- Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday
- Availability for 4x8 or 4x10 hour shifts
- No weekends or call duties
Job Qualifications
- National certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- BLS certification
- Clinical knowledge with 1-2 years of experience typically required
- Effective communication and human relations skills
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Vascular imaging experience highly preferred
- Additional education and/or experience in echocardiography or vascular imaging preferred
Job Duties
- Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders
- Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed
- Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
- Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots as needed
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors adhering to safety policies
- Assures efficient operation of workflow and maintains adequate inventory of supplies
