The Body Shop Valet / Porter position is an essential role that supports the seamless operation of automotive body repair services. In this role, employees are responsible for the proper handling, parking, and inspection of customer vehicles during their repair process. The ideal candidate will work closely with repair technicians and management to ensure vehicles are maintained securely and in an organized manner throughout their time in the body shop. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in automotive valet or body shop environment preferred
- Ability to operate vehicle safely
- Basic knowledge of automotive vehicle handling and safety
- Ability to complete detailed vehicle check-in and inspection reports
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a busy work environment

Job Duties
- Maintain the body shop parking area to allow customers easy access to the body shop area
- Park customer vehicles dropped off for repairs or estimates
- Complete a check-in report for each vehicle dropped off for repairs
- Document any old/unrelated damage on the vehicle
- Document mileage and place a mirror tag and floor mat in each vehicle
- Assist technicians in moving vehicles in and out of the shop area
- Ensure all vehicles are secure and locked each night
- Complete final checklist report on completed vehicles to ensure quality of repairs
- Make management aware of any problems that arise on final inspection to ensure any problems are corrected prior to delivery of the vehicle to the customer
- Deliver customer vehicles from parking lot to the cashier at time of pick up
- Assist with pick up and delivery of vehicles when needed
- Maintain a professional attitude with co-workers, customers, vendors
