Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
  • Flu vaccination required prior to hiring date
  • Ability to drive a manual shift vehicle
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Capable of working unsupervised
  • Able to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Parking industry experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to drive manual shift vehicles
  • Proficient in English with speaking, reading, and comprehension skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate customer service
  • Ability to communicate changes in behavior or activity to hospital personnel
  • Capable of handling emotionally charged situations
  • Ability to make independent decisions and remain firm
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness
  • Professional and effective communication skills
  • Team player with openness to opinions

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service
  • Park and retrieve cars carefully, efficiently, and timely while developing rapport with customers
  • Collect parking fees and provide correct change
  • Understand and handle different types of parkers including tenants, visitors, employees, and administration
  • Direct traffic to maintain smooth car flow with a friendly demeanor
  • Understand surroundings and building area to answer customer questions
  • Complete daily reports
  • Assist in staffing exit or entry booth during peak times
  • Communicate with management, supervisors, and traffic directors
  • Answer parking and general customer service inquiries professionally
  • Manage traffic flow during equipment failures or construction
  • Demonstrate urgency and timeliness
  • Seek continuous improvement
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
