Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with hotel processes and standards such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt
  • Must have vision to see objects and people at a distance
  • Must have finger, hand, and upper body dexterity to grasp handles and carry bundles
  • Must have upper body strength to lift and carry up to 65 pounds throughout the shift
  • Ability to communicate verbally and understand instructions
  • Use tact and understanding in customer service situations
  • Able to keep an effective pace during shifts
  • Passionate about people and service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reading and writing abilities for paperwork and logging
  • Basic math skills for handling cash or credit
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist guests with unloading luggage and transporting it to their rooms
  • Park and retrieve customer vehicles in specified areas safely and efficiently
  • Respond to guest requests by delivering items such as laundry, newspapers, and additional linens
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle checks, guest requests, and deliveries
  • Promote hotel services and provide guests with up-to-date information
  • Obey all traffic and driving regulations while ensuring passenger safety
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of lobby areas and entrances
  • Perform seasonal outside duties such as snow removal, trash collection, and sweeping
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to the engineering department
  • Collaborate with other employees and departments to enhance overall hotel performance
  • Maintain a friendly, service-minded attitude in a fast-paced environment
