Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards
  • Vision ability to see objects and people at a distance
  • Finger, hand and upper body dexterity to grasp handles, carry bundles and lift packages
  • Upper body strength to continually lift and carry up to 65 pounds throughout entire shift
  • Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction
  • Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems
  • Ability to run or keep an effective pace during shift
  • Passion for people and service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reading and writing abilities
  • Basic math skills for cash or credit handling
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent

  • Manual dexterity to grasp handles, carry bundles, and lift packages
  • Upper body strength to lift and carry up to 65 pounds repeatedly
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Customer service skills including tact and understanding when resolving issues
  • Ability to maintain an effective working pace throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist guests by helping unload luggage and transporting it to their room
  • Park and retrieve customer vehicles in specified areas safely and efficiently
  • Respond to guest needs by delivering laundry, newspapers, linens, and other requested items
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vehicle checks and guest service requests
  • Communicate any required vehicle maintenance to engineering staff and follow up on completion
  • Keep lobby areas and entrances clean and free of debris
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable service while promoting hotel amenities and local area information
