Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years old to operate shuttle or drive guests
  • Must be at least 21 years old to drive company or own vehicles
  • No positive drug or alcohol tests including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion
  • No more than two moving traffic violations in the past 36 months
  • No speeding over 25 mph above the limit in past 36 months
  • No DUI convictions in past five years
  • No vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault convictions
  • No operating a vehicle with suspended or revoked license
  • No use of vehicle in commission of felony
  • No reckless driving or speed contests
  • No leaving scene of accident with bodily injury or physical damage
  • No eluding police officers
  • No operating cell phone while driving violations
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to four hours
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch
  • Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and compliance with company policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements
  • Minimum of three years full-time verifiable driving experience
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational abilities
  • Basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key systems, and POS
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • Ability to work independently and self-driven
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and safe vehicle operation

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote hotel outlets when possible
  • Offer information about hotel services, facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
  • Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading into automobiles
  • Call taxis for guests as requested
  • Prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork ensuring accuracy and operational standards
  • Supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries for proper handling and completion
  • Maintain the check-in station’s appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness
  • Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • Promote a positive working environment and comply with employee handbook guidelines
  • Complete daily tasks including maintenance and cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and carts
  • Safely operate guest vehicles to and from parking areas while obeying traffic laws
  • Create weekly staffing schedules for the valet department
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for valet associates
  • Perform bi-weekly payroll processing including approval of timecards and creation of bonuses or incentives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by managers or supervisors
