Job Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age with 3 years driving experience
  • high school diploma or GED certificate
  • possess excellent communication skills
  • fluent in English language
  • ability to deal effectively with business contacts and employees
  • ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
  • ability to follow instructions in various formats
  • maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
  • produce acceptable annual driving record
  • be physically capable of standing, walking, running/jogging over 50% of shift
  • able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
  • maintain physical stamina to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous valet experience preferred
  • must be 19 years of age with 3 years driving experience
  • high school diploma or GED certificate

  • fluent in English language

  • ability to interpret and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • must obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
  • must produce acceptable driving record annually to management

Job Duties

  • Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property
  • assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors
  • welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings of the day
  • acknowledge and greet guests within 25 to 30 seconds and provide professional, fast and friendly service
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, registration number, make/model, room number or contact number of the guest
  • verify guests ticket with the one attached to the key before handing over keys or vehicle to the guest
  • effectively park and retrieve guests cars without causing damage
  • drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, special events
  • give fond farewell to all guests who are departing
  • monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, buses and rideshare
  • maintain the security of vehicles, belongings inside the car and vehicle keys
  • follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction
  • document and report all vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, theft, missing articles
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisor or manager
  • monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, portico and key booth
  • re-route traffic when parking facility reaches maximum capacity and ensure staff is informed
