Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
- Ability to exert physical effort including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Ability to talk and hear regularly
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally run, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodations
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM
- Willingness to travel up to 5 percent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Skilled in presenting information to guests, clients, and colleagues
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with money units
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable parking rates
- Preferred ability to operate a manual transmission
- Skilled in performing parallel parking maneuvers
Job Duties
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Follow Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and promptly
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi, reservation information and other inquiries
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information accurately including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
