Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to guests and colleagues
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations involving money
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to explain parking rates and procedures
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to explain rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money units
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Park and retrieve vehicles slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, and vehicle location
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
