Job Duties
- Greets and directs patients and visitors arriving at the facility to their destination while creating a positive image of the organization
- operates guest’s vehicle in a safe manner and ensures the vehicle is locked after parking it in the designated area
- keeps the front area clear of vehicles by preventing any long-term parking and monitors the number of cars parked in designated valet areas
- prepares valet parking reports daily and logs incidents that occur, keeping supervisor informed of needs, problems, and activities
- reports parking violations to the security officer and alerts security to any crimes or acts of vandalism
- physically assists individuals exiting their vehicle who have limited mobility
- determines urgency of situations, calms patients if necessary and makes appropriate referrals
- safely transports patients, employees, and guests on the Avera McKennan campus
- operates the courtesy shuttle vehicle in a safe manner adhering to all traffic laws and locks the vehicle after parking it at the end of the shift
- ensures the vehicle is clean, clutter-free, and maintains its professional appearance
- ensures the vehicle is filled with gas and oil, maintains daily logs, and completes mileage documentation
