Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform essential job functions including safe vehicle operation and assisting patients with limited mobility
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday between 5:30 am and 8:00 pm on a PRN basis
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Physical capability to assist with mobility needs
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality and compliance with safety standards
  • No undue hardship in performing job functions
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and calmly in urgent situations
  • Capability to safely operate vehicles including valet and shuttle
  • Visual acuity to perform duties
  • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds

  • Knowledge of safety principles, regulations, and standards related to healthcare environments

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct patients and visitors arriving at the facility to their destination while creating a positive image of the organization
  • Operate guest’s vehicle in a safe manner and ensure the vehicle is locked after parking it in the designated area
  • Keep the front clear of vehicles by preventing long-term parking and keep count of cars parked in valet areas
  • Prepare valet parking reports daily and log incidents
  • Report parking violations and alert security officers to any crimes or vandalism
  • Physically assist those exiting their vehicle if they need help due to limited mobility
  • Determine urgency of situations, calm patients if necessary, and make appropriate referrals
  • Safely transport patients, employees, and guests on campus via courtesy shuttle
  • Operate the courtesy shuttle vehicle in a safe manner, ensure it is locked and maintained at the end of shifts
  • Ensure the shuttle vehicle is clean, clutter free, fueled, and maintain daily logs including mileage documentation
