Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to provide courteous and efficient guest service
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour/military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly manner
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
