Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • ability to read and write
  • ability to learn to operate a manual transmission
  • must have near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception when driving vehicles
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • valid driving license
  • ability to communicate effectively

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with vehicles when arriving or departing from the hospital
  • assist patients and visitors into and out of vehicles as needed
  • receive cars from staff or visitors, drive to assigned parking areas and return when requested in a safe and timely manner
  • examine each valet car for dents or scratches and note damages on valet tickets while reporting to leader prior to parking
  • issue tickets to patients or visitors and accurately complete valet tickets
  • account for all tickets issued and ensure their appropriate use
  • treat all vehicles with care, avoiding speeding or careless use
  • inform leader or supervisor of any changes or restrictions in driving license privileges
  • maintain responsibility for all equipment and supplies necessary for the role
  • perform other related duties as required
