Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • ability to read and write to understand oral and written instructions
  • ability to learn to operate a manual transmission vehicle upon hire
  • must have near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception for driving
  • ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • good physical condition

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with vehicles when arriving or departing from the hospital
  • assist patients and visitors into and out of vehicles as needed
  • receive cars from staff or visitors and drive to assigned parking area safely and quickly
  • examine each valet car received for any dents or scratches and note damage on valet ticket
  • issue tickets to patients and visitors and complete valet ticket accurately
  • account for all tickets issued and ensure appropriate use
  • treat all vehicles entrusted to valet drivers with care and avoid reckless driving
  • report any changes or restrictions in driving license privileges to leader or supervisor
  • manage all equipment and supplies necessary to perform responsibilities
  • perform other related duties as required
