Job Requirements
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to valid medical or religious accommodation
- Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination
- Prior valet driving experience preferred
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive manual transmission is a plus
- Availability to work special shifts, including 2nd, 3rd shifts or weekends if required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write correspondence
- Ability to handle customer problems or complaints positively
- Ability to perform basic math with American money
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance in complete uniform at all times
- Ability to use clock, calculator or credit card machines if applicable
- Ability to maintain pleasant demeanor with public and on telephone
- Ability to follow detailed but standard instructions
- Ability to adapt to work environment changes, delays or unexpected events
- Must be punctual
- Must be able to change frequently between sitting and standing
- Must be able to use phone or two-way radio
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior valet driving experience preferred
- Valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees
- Basic mathematical skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
- Ability to use a clock and calculator or credit card machine if applicable
- Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor when communicating with the public
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- Ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment
Job Duties
- Ensure the timely dispatching of Valet Attendants to park and retrieve guest vehicles
- Monitor the amount of time guests wait for their vehicle to ensure it meets the property's service standard
- Assist with the safe moving of guest vehicles in the garage and the guest areas on an as needed basis
- Secure and keep track of all guest vehicle keys
- Accept and process valet fees if applicable
- Answer the telephone using proper telephone etiquette
- Inform customers of valet rates and provide directions to local landmarks and freeways
- Respond to customer questions or issues in a prompt and courteous manner
- Report any known accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to supervisors and management
- Assist the Ramp Supervisor in maintaining a clear ramp area by sending runners to the front door
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the area around the garage office
- Be on time for every scheduled work day
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in complete uniform during shifts
- Assist supervisors and managers with additional duties as assigned
