Job Requirements

  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to valid medical or religious accommodation
  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination
  • Prior valet driving experience preferred
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to drive manual transmission is a plus
  • Availability to work special shifts, including 2nd, 3rd shifts or weekends if required
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write correspondence
  • Ability to handle customer problems or complaints positively
  • Ability to perform basic math with American money
  • Must maintain a neat and clean appearance in complete uniform at all times
  • Ability to use clock, calculator or credit card machines if applicable
  • Ability to maintain pleasant demeanor with public and on telephone
  • Ability to follow detailed but standard instructions
  • Ability to adapt to work environment changes, delays or unexpected events
  • Must be punctual
  • Must be able to change frequently between sitting and standing
  • Must be able to use phone or two-way radio

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior valet driving experience preferred
  • Valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees
  • Basic mathematical skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
  • Ability to use a clock and calculator or credit card machine if applicable
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor when communicating with the public
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment

Job Duties

  • Ensure the timely dispatching of Valet Attendants to park and retrieve guest vehicles
  • Monitor the amount of time guests wait for their vehicle to ensure it meets the property's service standard
  • Assist with the safe moving of guest vehicles in the garage and the guest areas on an as needed basis
  • Secure and keep track of all guest vehicle keys
  • Accept and process valet fees if applicable
  • Answer the telephone using proper telephone etiquette
  • Inform customers of valet rates and provide directions to local landmarks and freeways
  • Respond to customer questions or issues in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Report any known accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to supervisors and management
  • Assist the Ramp Supervisor in maintaining a clear ramp area by sending runners to the front door
  • Help maintain the cleanliness of the area around the garage office
  • Be on time for every scheduled work day
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in complete uniform during shifts
  • Assist supervisors and managers with additional duties as assigned
