Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or one month related experience or training or equivalent combination
- Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift or weekends if required
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees
- Ability to respond positively to customer problems or complaints
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using American money
- Maintain neat and clean appearance and uniform
- Ability to use clock, calculator or credit card machine as applicable
- Ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor on the phone and with public
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions
- Ability to adapt to work environment changes and unexpected events
- Ability to frequently change between sitting and standing
- Regular use of phone or two-way radio
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Prior valet driving experience preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence
- Effective one-on-one communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using American currency
- Ability to use standard or military time, calculator, or credit card machine
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance with complete uniform
- Ability to handle customer complaints effectively
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to adapt to changes and deal with delays or unexpected events
Job Duties
- Ensure the timely dispatching of Valet Attendants to park and retrieve guest vehicles
- Monitor the amount of time guests wait for their vehicle to ensure it meets the property’s service standard
- Assist with the safe moving of guest vehicles in the garage and the guest areas, on an as needed basis
- Secure and keep track of all guest vehicle keys
- Accept and process valet fees if applicable
- Answer the telephone using proper telephone etiquette
- Inform customers of valet rates, and provide directions to major streets, landmarks, and freeways
- Respond to customer questions and issues in a prompt and courteous manner
- Report any known accidents, violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to Supervisors or Managers
- Assist the Ramp Supervisor in maintaining a clear ramp area
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the area around the garage office
- Be on time for scheduled work days
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in complete uniform
- Assist Supervisors and Managers with additional duties as assigned
